Open the JPG image file you want to convert into an icon. With the plugin, you merely need to save the file with the file extension of .ico to create the icon.

Click the "Browse" button in top of the "Change Icon" window and navigate to the ICO (icon) file you want to use as your custom icon. Click "Open" or "OK" when you have selected your icon file.

Step 2: Whether a file or a folder, you’ll open the properties for it to access its icon. Select the file or folder and pick File > Get Info from the menu bar or right-click and choose Get Info.

In Windows 10, icons are the items you click on to open different programs and files. They're usually a small picture with the title of the file beneath them.
