Meow Wolf — which runs a psychedelic string of immersive art exhibits across the country — has announced plans to build its first East Coast outpost, at Pier 17 in the South Street Seaport neighborhood of Manhattan, with an opening set for 2027 or 2028.

Meow Wolf officials announced the exhibition, which will be located at Pier 17 in the historic Seaport, at South by Southwest in Austin on Monday.

Meow Wolf is bringing its otherworldly magic to New York, announcing its seventh permanent exhibition, for Pier 17 in South Street Seaport.

"I get a softer look; I feel like it's their true self. They're not really acting; they're just having a good time."

With Santa Fe as its first permanent exhibition, Meow Wolf has grown to Las Vegas, Denver, Dallas and Houston.
