Cooler, wet weather is forecast to bring moisture to the parched landscape and reduce the fire threat. But heavy rainfall could also trigger flash floods in burn scars.

For the third consecutive week, Southwest Washington has cold weather and sunny conditions, causing river levels to lower and become clear.

Earlier this month, a levee separating Agency Lake and the Upper Klamath National Wildlife Refuge was breached, re-connecting 14,000 acres of wetland habitat to Upper Klamath Lake.
