The Boston Licensing Board approved 37 new liquor licenses throughout the city Thursday as part of an initiative to promote economic growth across all Boston neighborhoods.

Flush with new liquor licenses to give out, the Boston Licensing Board has issued alcohol permits to 36 restaurants and community organizations across the city from Mattapan to East Boston, the bulk of them approved on Thursday.

These establishments, which include 28 that received approval earlier in the day on Thursday, span neighborhoods across Boston, including Charlestown, Dorchester, East Boston, Hyde Park, Jamaica Plain,

From a diner on Bowdoin Street to a Jamaican restaurant on Blue Hill Avenue in Mattapan, the Boston Licensing Board on Thursday awarded several new beer-and-wine and all-alcohol licenses to restaurants across Dorchester and Mattapan, as part of the 225 new licenses granted Boston by the state legislature last year.
