The NHL trade deadline is a month away and the Boston Bruins must decide whether to be buyers or sellers. Going into Wednesday’s game against the New York Rangers, the Bruins sit just outside of a Wild Card playoff spot behind the Tampa Bay Lightning and the the Detroit Red Wings.

The Boston Bruins have been buyers at nearly every trade deadline under general manager Don Sweeney, but this year, their approach remains uncertain. Boston, sitting sixth in the Atlantic Division with a 27-23-6 record and 60 points in 56 games,
