If there was one superstar who was never expected to be traded in the NBA in the modern era, it was none other than Luka Doncic. However, in a move which left entire NBA community short for words, the Dallas Mavericks parted ways with the face of their franchise.

This was expected to be one of the quietest trade deadlines in recent years. The NBA always has a flair for the dramatic, though, and ESPN's Shams Charania broke a trade in the early hours of Sunday morning that was so unbelievable that he had to reiterate that it was "1000 percent real" before people realized that he wasn't hacked.

Per ESPN’s Shams Charania, the Los Angeles Lakers are trading star center Anthony Davis to the Dallas Mavericks in exchange for superstar Luka Doncic. The deal
