Anthony Davis' debut with the Dallas Mavericks on Saturday afternoon got off to a brilliant start, but the team's 116-105 win over the Houston Rockets was dampened by the big man's lower body injury,

Davis had 26 points, 16 rebounds, seven assists and three blocks in 31 minutes of action before leaving with the non-contact injury to his groin area.

Mercifully, Davis intimated to reporters after the game that he would be fine. "Anthony Davis said he felt 'a little spasm' with his previous abdomen injury and said it's 'nothing serious,'" veteran NBA reporter Marc Stein wrote on social media after the game.
