Just a day after her horrific death, her father held Steve Zmuda held a single candle as he was surrounded by family, friends and wellwishers on Tuesday afternoon at Woorim Beach on Bribie Island.

Charlize Zmuda was swimming at Woorim Beach at Bribie Island when she was injured. Emergency services were called to the unpatrolled beach just before 5pm on Monday, but she could not be saved.
