NHL analyst Craig Button has criticized Boston Bruins goaltender Jeremy Swayman's performance following his eight-year, $66 million extension with the club in October.

Jeremy Swayman will not play in Thursday's game against the Ottawa Senators due to an upper-body injury suffered the day before.

Boston Bruins goalie Jeremy Swayman was outstanding during Boston’s 6-5 shootout loss to the Ottawa Senators, recording 39 saves. However, his poor decision with the puck late in the game factored into the team’s losing effort.

And it won’t stop any time soon. Swayman will be leading Boston through a fight to even get into the playoffs, a rare situation for a perennial contender. He will also be playing for the United States against Canada, Sweden and Finland in the 4 Nations Face-Off in Montreal and Boston from Feb. 12-20.
