Saturday's moonlight float begins at 7:30 p.m., and all boats have to be off the lake by 11:45 p.m. The lake typically is open to boaters from sunrise to sunset.

Dawn Jones, owner of Free Spirit Rivers, leads the float. A guide for 29 years, she's done the Willamette night floats since 1992. She plans the trip for late summer, two days before the full moon.
