RTD’s spending on Access-on-Demand has ballooned from $85,000 a month in the program’s early days to more than $1 million a month now, according to agency documents.

The RTD Board of Directors voted unanimously Tuesday night to continue the program after the one-year pilot, which was scheduled to end Aug. 31.
