Nvidia Corp showcases Fugatto, a powerful generative AI model for creating sounds using text and audio prompts. Impressive capabilities for musicians, developers, and content creators.
Nvidia has no immediate plans to release Fugatto, citing risks of misuse and copyright concerns. The model’s applications span music, video games, and audio content creation.
Nvidia didn’t say much about the data used to train Fugatto, other than it’s made up of “millions of audio samples” that come from open-source data.
However, instead of gorging on text, Fugatto was fed a mountain of audio data. The final model has 2.5 billion parameters and was trained on an Nvidia DGX system with 32 H100 Hopper AI accelerators.
