Rosie O'Donnell has revealed that she has moved away from the U.S. and relocated to Ireland in the wake of President Donald Trump 's election win—stating that she will not return to her home country until it is once again "safe for all citizens."

"The View" co-hosts Sunny Hostin and Ana Navarro defended Rosie O'Donnell fleeing the country to escape President Trump's time in the White House.

O’Donnell explained that she moved to Ireland on January 15, and is “in the process” of getting her Irish citizenship as she has Irish grandparents. “It’s been pretty wonderful, I have to say. The people are so loving and so kind, so welcoming. And I’m very grateful,” she also said.
