Ferrari and McLaren have been testing tyres for Pirelli for the 2026 season, and the opening day saw Lewis Hamilton and Charles Leclerc in action on behalf of Ferrari. On the Spanish track, the seven-time world champion was just slightly quicker than the Monegasque.

Lewis Hamilton crashed during the second day of Ferrari's private test at the Circuit de Cataunya on Wednesday, a source has told ESPN.

The incident happened during a three-day test at the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya in the team’s 2023 F1 car.
