With a total area of 3,301.64 square kilometers and a total population of 446,700, Yuzhong is known as the "east gate" of Lanzhou. In the early winter, trees on Xinglong Mountain are wrapped in snow.

In 2024, sales of tax-free goods in Yuzhong grew tenfold, with nearly 40,000 foreign card transactions recorded. Yuzhong is also pioneering new models for cross-border shopping.
