Pope Leo XIV fully embraced the White Sox this week by wearing the MLB team’s hat during an appearance at the Vatican on Wednesday.

Pope Leo XIV, born Robert Francis Prevost, became the first American to lead the Catholic Church when he was elected on May 9.

Many conservatives and traditionalists soured on Francis' informal style and disdain for tradition, which reached its pinnacle with his his crackdown on the old Latin Mass.
