In more uplifting news, Pamela Anderson nabbed the Razzie Redeemer award, given to a former Razzie winner who has gone on to be celebrated in future work. Anderson was named worst new star for Barb Wire in 1996, but she received critical acclaim and award recognition for her work in The Last Showgirl.

At least that was the pick for that dubious honor by the Razzie Awards, the longest-running bad-movie alternative to the Oscars. Every year the members of the Razzies (which is literally anyone who wants to pay to be a member) votes on their picks for the worst films of the year.

The winners of this year’s awards for the best of the worst in cinema – known as the Razzies – were announced Friday.
