USC sophomore sensation JuJu Watkins was clearly humbled in accepting the honor while on the mend from her ACL injury.

The 2024-25 Naismith Awards ceremony took place on Wednesday afternoon and it was a heavily West Coast affair. All three winners came from the two dominant Los Angeles schools this season, USC and UCLA,

Watkins, a sophomore, has already earned plenty of recognition this season. She was named the USBWA National Player of the Year, Big Ten Player of the Year, a first-team All-Big Ten selection, and a unanimous first-team All-American.
