SEATTLE — Mitch Marner will be back in the Maple Leafs lineup when they face the Seattle Kraken on Thursday night. Marner missed his first game this season in Calgary on Tuesday night with what he called a “spasm thing” that popped up suddenly earlier in the week.

Stolarz was named the first star after making 26 saves. Though Seattle scored its only goal in the third period, Stolarz made 10 saves in the final 20 minutes, none bigger than a point-blank save (without his stick) on Shane Wright as Max Pacioretty served a tripping minor.

Marner didn't want to get into specifics on the lower-body injury but noted it had nothing to do with his previous game.

Toronto Maple Leafs’ forward Mitch Marner recorded his 500th career assist Thursday night against the Seattle Kraken, another major milestone in the young NHLer’s career.

Dangle's projection comes nearly one month after he envisioned, on New Year's Eve, Marner signing a contract extension worth $13.1 million per season. However, he offered that projection before the new salary cap estimations were released by the NHL at the end of January.

Toronto Maple Leafs beat the Seattle Kraken 3-1 on Thursday night. Philippe Myers, Bobby McMann and Matthew Knies scored for the Leafs.  Eeli Tolvanen had the Kraken’s only goal, spoiling Stolarz’s shutout bid in the third period.
