Stiff winds blew over Canada’s Toronto Pearson Airport Monday afternoon as a slim aircraft and its 80 passengers and crew drifted toward the snowy tarmac, cleared by air traffic controllers to make a landing.

A Bayport man who was on the Delta Air Lines flight from the Twin Cities to Toronto said the scene after the jet flipped onto its roof while landing on Monday afternoon was “mass chaos.”
