Strong winds cause power outages in Marlin, forcing Marlin ISD to once again cancel school
After severe storms and strong winds hit Central Texas, causing widespread power outages, several schools announced they would be closed for the day due to loss of power. This included Marlin ISD, who's now on their 9th day of canceling school.

According to Oncor, the most affected county in our viewing area is McLennan County, with over 11,000 power outages being reported as of Tuesday morning.
Over 31,000 Austin residents without power as winds barrel through Texas
Over 31,000 people are without power as a result of more than 140 active outages at 4 p.m., according to the Austin Energy outage map. The map also says there are 68 hazards in the city at this time as a wind advisory remains in place across the Central Texas region.
