Tank vs. Roach took place March 1 at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, N.Y. Tank Davis (30-0-1) and Lamont Roach (25-1-2) squared off in the the main event clash. The fight aired live on pay-per-view on Amazon and PPV.

A controversial non-knockdown call proved to be the difference in Saturday night's clash between WBA lightweight champion Gervonta "Tank" Davis and Lamont Roach Jr. In the end, Roach -- a heavy underdog -- managed to will his way to a majority draw and an unsatisfying moral victory.

One of the judges scored the fight 115-113 in favor of Davis and two scored it 114-114. A one-point deduction presumably would have changed two judges’ scorecards to 114-113 in favor of Roach and the third judge 114-113 for Davis – creating a split-decision victory for Roach.
