HE planted a pomelo tree in an orchard in Tambun and went for horse-riding in Ulu Piah nearby. The fruit found instant fame following the planting by then prime minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad.
Pomelo growers in Tambun are also hoping for some good news come this Budget. Pomelo farm owner Tan Swee Kong, who is also the group’s spokesperson, said he hoped that incentives would be provided.
