TVR wanted to save years of hard work, so the Speed 12 program motorsport ambitions took a backseat in favor of the development of the world's most outrageous road-legal supercar.

And like a proper French waiter who will scoff at any foreigner's accent, the Speed 12 was probably very ready to murder its every owner. But at least it's your call now and not Mr. Wheeler's.

Evidently, the Cerbera Speed 12 is capable of some 240 mph when the rear wing is vacant. At this point in its life, the V12 evidently makes only about 840 hp (626 kW) after a bit of detuning.

See, TVR did end up building just one Speed 12 road car – an amalgam of road car, prototype chassis, and racing parts – and sold it to a buyer personally vetted by Wheeler himself.
