"it's been a long time coming." After literal years of delays (and different members of the production blaming each other for those aforementioned delays), the first look at Zendaya 's return as Rue Bennet is finally here.

A24 has posted a first look still from season 3, showing not only that production has begun at the start of the year, as promised, but also that Zendaya is back as Rue Bennett.

That euphoric feeling. “Euphoria” is officially in production for Season 3, HBO announced on Monday. Taking to X, the network shared an ominous photo of Rue, played by Zendaya, looking over her shoulder toward the camera.

The main cast of “Euphoria” includes Zendaya, Sydney Sweeney, Elordi, Hunter Schafer, Storm Reid, Alexa Demie, and Eric Dane. Angus Cloud, who broke out in his role as Fezco, died at age 25 in July 2023.

Production on Season 3 of Euphoria is officially underway. The show shared an image on social media Monday morning announcing the start.

On Monday, HBO shared a first look image of Zendaya as Rue in the highly anticipated third season of the hit show. "#Euphoria Season 3 is in production," Max captioned the post.

We may have photographic proof that Zendaya is back on set, but the majority of the Euphoria cast is also expected to return to HBO (and streaming with a Max subscription) for the third season. That includes Sydney Sweeney, Alexa Demie, Maude Apatow, Hunter Schafer, Jacob Elordi, Colman Domingo, Eric Dane and more.

Series creator Sam Levinson previously described the new season as a "film noir." HBO has at long last dropped a first look at season 3 of Euphoria, three years after the celebrated teen drama was renewed.
