Get those glitter tear-inspired makeups ready, as the third season of Euphoria has begun production. After almost three years since the show’s sequel premiered, HBO CEO Casey Bloys delivered promising news that the teen drama had begun filming way back in January,

Production on Season 3 of Euphoria is officially underway. The show shared an image on social media Monday morning announcing the start.

The main cast of “Euphoria” includes Zendaya, Sydney Sweeney, Elordi, Hunter Schafer, Storm Reid, Alexa Demie, and Eric Dane. Angus Cloud, who broke out in his role as Fezco, died at age 25 in July 2023.

On Monday, HBO shared a first look image of Zendaya as Rue in the highly anticipated third season of the hit show. "#Euphoria Season 3 is in production," Max captioned the post.

We may have photographic proof that Zendaya is back on set, but the majority of the Euphoria cast is also expected to return to HBO (and streaming with a Max subscription) for the third season. That includes Sydney Sweeney, Alexa Demie, Maude Apatow, Hunter Schafer, Jacob Elordi, Colman Domingo, Eric Dane and more.

The sophomore season of the critically acclaimed HBO drama series earned three Emmy nominations, including Zendaya's second Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama Series win. The season was also nominated for Outstanding Drama Series and Sydney Sweeney was nominated for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Drama Series.

Series creator Sam Levinson previously described the new season as a "film noir." HBO has at long last dropped a first look at season 3 of Euphoria, three years after the celebrated teen drama was renewed.
