The National Weather Service has issued a cold weather advisory for Louisiana. The upcoming storm could bring snow to northern Louisiana, and some forecasts are calling for snow early Friday morning.

January brought cold, snow and ice to regions not used to dealing with intense winter weather. Snow fell as far south as the Florida panhandle and in Gulf states such as Alabama.
