A 9-year-old girl whose right hand was nearly bitten off her arm by a shark near Boca Grande may fully recover thanks to fast action, doctors said.

A Florida family’s day at the beach turned into a nightmare when 9-year-old Leah Lendel was bitten by a shark. They described what happened and talked about why it was a “miracle” that her hand was saved.
