Sadly, Scooby Doo! & Batman never delves as deeply into that element as it could, nor does it make much of the loose romantic triangle involving Fred, Daphne and Black Canary.

The Batman & Scooby-Doo Mysteries #12 goes in a widely different direction. Once Batman and Mystery Inc. are left to their own devices, the Phantasm appears on the stage with the ghost light.

Batman teams with Scooby-Doo in issue #5 to solve a ghostly mystery involving Mr. Hyde and Man-Bat. Combining elements of Gothic literature and classic cartoons for an unforgettable crossover.

Scooby-Doo and Batman is one of those magical combinations that I don’t think will ever get old, and I hope it makes people happy for generations to come.
