According to an RTD news release, the bus wrap is part of a partnership between RTD and the nonprofit José M. Hernández Reaching for the Stars Foundation.

Over the years, RTD has unveiled various bus wraps. In 2024, RTD unveiled three Community Bus Wraps: Hydrogen Fuel Cell Buses, Cesar Chavez Bus Wrap and the Rosa Parks Bus Wrap.
