A federal judge on Tuesday ordered the Trump administration to restore certain public health webpages and datasets that federal health agencies had wiped from the internet in recent days.

A federal judge in Washington ordered the Trump administration to immediately restore certain public health information removed from websites in recent days that doctors and researchers said they needed to treat patients and track disease outbreaks in real time.

A memorandum from the federal Office of Personnel Management dated Jan. 29 and sent to leaders of federal departments and agencies stated that as of 5 p.m. Eastern on Jan. 31, they must, “Take down all outward facing media (websites, social media accounts, etc.) that inculcate or promote gender ideology.”

The Trump administration has put a freeze on many federal health agency communications with the public through at least the end of the month

It’s the latest in a string of court orders to temporarily pause sweeping executive actions by President Donald Trump during his first three weeks in office

The decision by U.S. District Judge John Bates, a George W. Bush appointee, came after a testy Monday afternoon hearing.

Several federal agencies are being ordered to restore web pages and reports that were either removed or modified following one of President Trump's executive orders.

Doctors had sued over the removal and modification of data in response to order to scrub references to “gender ideology.”

The Trump administration faced yet another legal roadblock on Tuesday after a federal judge ordered health agencies to restore public health webpages that were scrubbed last month on the orders of President Donald Trump.
