Icon is turning an old offshore rescue ship into a futuristic explorer yacht called Project UFO. The 230-footer will be one of the largest explorers in its class once complete.

Project Olympus will get a boost from a Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) contract that ICON recently signed with the U.S. Air Force to expand the capabilities of its 3D-printing tech.

The Icon project was initially proposed as a 584,000 square-foot mixed-use development with 200,000 square-feet of commercial space and 422 residential units.

Hubbell Realty's second donation of $780,000 brought the project's total to $100.3 million.
