Gothic, bloody, and teeming with supernatural elements, Poe’s stories are perennial Halloween favorites, so it makes sense that one of them would end up in a Tumblr meme during October.

In fact, the image of Poe throwing the pass has become a meme, and I encourage this to continue. This could be Kansas City’s version of the Crying Jordan.
