After years of imprisonment, abuse and hardship and decades of nightmares, the petite Vietnamese refugee and single mother, now 51, has begun to pour her heart out on canvas.

In the first piece, I'm working on a 1/4 inch thick wood heart, on the second one I'm working on a square 8x8 inch canvas. I am using pink and purple mica powders instead of paint.
