Danbury rehabilitation hospital requests six-month extension for construction of $39 million facility on city's west side.

The Hospital, owned by Encompass Health, would be located at 1017 Union Street and has a budget of over $61,000,000.

The new facility "fills a void" in medical services, and will help patients recover after an injury, surgery or illness.
