HARTFORD, Conn. (WFSB) - Governor Lamont is going to veto special education funding that passed the legislature. The general assembly voted last week to approve $43 million in emergency spending.
Lamont said the $40 million and $2.8 million appropriations were not offered with offsetting cuts in other spending. “I think it’s the wrong way to budget — buy it now, pay later,” he said.
