A national day of protest is set for June 14. Can nonviolent resistance counter Trump’s authoritarian show of force?

Protests are planned for 1,800 communities across the country June 14, the same day President Donald Trump holds a military parade in Washington.

Organizers say the procession will begin at 6:30 p.m. ET. Events from the 250th birthday celebration, including the parade, will be live-streamed on all U.S. Army social media platforms.
