After his first appearance in the pages of New Mutants, Deadpool has been a consistent ally to the X-Men and have teamed up with many of its members.

“I think Deadpool works so well appearing with the X-Men and Avengers, but he always needs to stay an outsider,” he said a few months back. “His ultimate dream is to be accepted and appreciated.

Assuming this Deadpool/X-Men team-up does move past the conception stage, don’t expect it to arrive for a while. Ryan Reynolds is currently writing the comedy movie Boy Band for Paramount Pictures.
