NFL Media's Ian Rapoport reported last week Steelers general manager Omar Khan has made calls on a few available free agents and the franchise has inquired on several players currently employed by other teams. Wideout Gabe Davis recently came in for a visit, but was not signed.

The Pittsburgh Steelers are lowballing teams while in trade talks to acquire a top wide receiver, according to CBS NFL insider Jonathan Jones. Jones says the Steelers have called plenty of teams and remain in contact with them but, to this point, have not put up a serious, competitive offer for one of the top playmakers.

ESPN analyst Mike Tannenbaum had some harsh words for new Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Aaron Rodgers recently.
