The annual showcase was slated to open Saturday with a triple-header at the University of Cincinnati's baseball stadium: Mason vs. Moeller, Harrison vs. St. Xavier and Anderson vs. Ryle.

When the dust settled, it was Moeller and Mason setting up a regional final showdown on Friday. It's a rematch from April 20, when Moeller prevailed 7-5 in extra innings at Prasco Park.
