The initial incident occurred just before 1 p.m. on Friday when deputies responded to reports of an assault with a deadly weapon in the area of Pats Ranch Road and Limonite Avenue in Jurupa Valley.

Calderwood said. The driver passed the exit to Limonite Avenue and crashed into another vehicle near the Sixth Street exit. The victim was transported to a hospital for unknown injuries.
