Pro wrestling and entertainment icon Hulk Hogan will visit Westchester and Putnam counties on Wednesday, March 5, as part of a tour launching his Real American Beer brand in the state of New York.

Light beers such as Garage, Eight Elite and Real American are going after struggling giants such as Bud Light and Coors Light.

A classic Texas beer brand is making a comeback after succumbing to post-Prohibition woes. The K. Spoetzl Brewery, best known as the maker of Shiner Bock, has reintroduced its Texas Special American-style lager and added Texas Special Light on draft.

Spoetzl said Texas Special, which was created to "celebrate the repeal of Prohibition," is an American-style lager. The Texas Special Light is only 98 calories. Spoetzl Brewery has been making drinks since 1909, headlined by its now iconic Shiner Bock. It brewed the Texas Special originally until the 1960s.
