A hidden corridor has been discovered within the Great Pyramid of Giza using cosmic rays. The corridor is 30 feet long and located near the entrance of the 4,500-year-old structure.

Using lidar, researchers found hidden storage rooms in Sahure's Pyramid. An Egyptologist first speculated about them almost 200 years ago.

That means getting clearance from governments to create the 3D maps using low-flying, lidar-equipped planes. That may be easier said than done.
