With production set to get underway in the coming months, Paramount, Skydance and Annapurna look ready to close in on the last major role for there upcoming “Terminator: Genesis” reboot.

Courtney has nabbed the role of Kyle Reese in Terminator: Genesis, the reboot being made by Paramount and Skydance, according to several sources. Paramount had no comment.

Of the actors portraying the three main characters in the film, one is from Alabama: Michael Biehn played Sgt. Kyle Reese, a resistance fighter from the future (the “future” in the film was 2029).

The upcoming fifth Terminator film, directed by Alan Taylor, is moving ahead and it has cast one of the film’s major roles, the character of Kyle Reese. The role will be filled by Jai Courtney.
