Nov. 26 (UPI) --A Seattle church is planning to demolish homeless shelters on its property to make space for a bigger parking lot, leading to complaints from local activists.

The Rev. Jon Nelson, former minister at Central Lutheran Church on Capitol Hill, died of cancer Saturday at his beloved cabin at Sand Lake, Minn., surrounded by his family. He was 77.
