The Wings acquired goaltender John Gibson from Anaheim on Saturday for goaltender Petr Mrazek and two future draft picks — a 2026 second-round pick and a 2027 fourth-rounder.
Gibson won 204 games while recording a .910 save percentage, 2.89 goals-against average and 24 shutouts. The trade prevented him from passing Jean-Sébastien Giguère’s franchise mark of 206 wins.
