Flag carrier Garuda Indonesia said on Tuesday it has completed a flight test using a palm oil-blended jet fuel on a Boeing 737-800NG aircraft.

Indonesia's national airline, Garuda Indonesia, says it wants to cancel an order for 49 Boeing 737 MAX 8 jets, citing the effect of two catastrophic crashes on passenger confidence.

Garuda said in a statement the jet fuel, which contains 2.4% palm oil, is being tested on CFM56-7B engines of a B737-800 NG aircraft. It added the test was launched last week.
