Open the JPG image file you want to convert into an icon. With the plugin, you merely need to save the file with the file extension of .ico to create the icon.

Most users should leave the icon bit depth option on "16.7M colors and alpha transparency." Click the "Convert" button to convert the image and download your new icon file.

You can use Microsoft Paint software to convert PNG to JPG/JPEG and even to other image formats such as GIF, TIFF, 24-bit bitmap, 18-color bitmap, and others. Open the PNG image in the Paint app.
