Charlie Brown shared his father's love for horses, and played a central role in Knoxville's horse shows for over 25 years, the News Sentinel reported in 1929.
With two horses entered in the 150th Kentucky Derby, Brown said he has as good a shot as he's had to win the Run for the Roses. He was second with Good Magic in 2018 and third with Zandon in 2022.
The Brown entrants are completed by Juddmonte’s British homebred Coppice (post 2, Irad Ortiz, Jr., 5-2), who was last seen finishing a close fifth in the Diana 1 3/4 lengths back of Whitebeam.
