An extraordinary bird with a crown of feathers has been found on a Welsh beach - MSNThe cinnamon-coloured bird is a medium sized creature, between 25–32cm in length with a 44–48cm wingspan. Hoopoe derives from the noise of its call which sounds similar to "hoopoe".
The hoopoe bird's most striking feature is its crest or "crown" which it raises when it's excited. Birdwatchers have been flocking to Swansea Bay to catch sight of a rare hoopoe bird.
